Many of you would have come across this problem while trying to register your username and password for your new domain using Google apps. Fortunately, I found out a solution which may benefit many of you who needs some guidance especially if you are doing all this domain stuffs all by yourself. And believe me, you have landed in the right place.
Recently, I moved my blogspot to my custom domain using blogger redirect. The process was simple and payment was made using Google wallet. Soon, I received a mail with a link to access my Google admin panel through which I can access my Cpanel and DNS setting of my new website. Google registers your domain either with enom.com or godaddy.com. Mine was registered with enom.com
The Problem :
I could not set up my registration in my cpanel with the link given by Google after my domain purchase. On step 3(final step) ,
I get "server error"
Also, I tried changing my password using the "Can't access your account" in my admin page but it was futile because it only changed my Gmail login password.
The Solution:
After exchange of calls and emails with the Google support team as well as finding ways through trial and error, I finally found out a solution for this Custom Domain Problem.
Again, it was resetting the password but not through the link provided in the admin page but through this link,
After typing in your CAPTCHA, you will be emailed on how to reset the password.
Follow the steps and you will be redirected to this page where you can reset you password successfully.
Note : You use the user name "bloggeradmin" (already setup, on your behalf) for your username
So now in your
https://www.google.com/a/domain_name.com login page,
Username: | bloggeradmin |
---|---|
Password: | your_reset_password |
And you should have a smooth access to your Google Admin Panel.
