Info Post
Cricket became my favourite sport when I first held the bat in my hands. Thanks to my Raja uncle who encouraged me to join in his game along with my brother and my cousins at the backyard in spite of me being a girl. It's the perk of lack of people to play the game successfully. We had also a sort of betting and the team that won are given a special treat with chips and coco cola. The winning moments are the special ones. Ah!How much we mimicked those arms like "yes, I did it" way. There were tears and petty fights too, but it just flew away the next day when another match began. With continuous playing, my passion of cricket outgrew all other activities and very soon I got addicted to the TV making sure that I never miss any matches on Starsports, my favourite channel for watching Cricket. This made me to discuss innings and scores making our cricket party live. This also extended in my school and college where we friends bet money for a particular team even before they started playing. How crazy but fun it was! But all was not smooth. There are times when the cricket match timings and the serials timings clash making it difficult for me to watch. Yes, there were not one but three serial watchers in my home. I have pretended of not knowing the whereabouts of the remote astutely hidden by me under the books, below the pillow or even inside the almirah until the serial timings finish. Poor serial lovers in my home has to keep searching for the remote.

But very soon my tricks were discovered and I was forced to watch only the scores whenever there was break from the serial. Thanks to the advertisement that made me peep into my favourite Starsports channel. And only after a chain of serials gets over, the remote lay at peace. Until done, the remote and the TV died a silent death in my hands. How much I have missed some live streaming and some special moments then! But thankfully there was one team wherein all in my family sit to watch without any fuss. Yes! whenever Namma Chennai team Chennai Super Kings is playing. After all, CSK scores over serials and we cheer for the team.

Soon with technology, I started recording Cricket shows on my Television whenever there was a need and then watched it later. And with Internet, my Starsports channel got itself online through www.starsports.com, a website that tends to Cricket lovers by displaying some specials innings/moments. And today with Pepsi IPL 2014 making fans go crazy, the features in Starsport just got better with extra features and speedy updates.

If you are a tree climber waiting to watch cricket on the second floor, or a person who stands in groups pushing yourself to see the scores on that one TV or someone like me who records the live shows from TV to watch them after a busy day, then these improved features from Starsports are a boon. The apps from Starsports for Android and IOS are noteworthy as it features Fastest Scorecard, Real time in-game statistics, Ad-free LIVE match streaming and is the World’s 1st video timeline for Cricket with HD Video Streaming. It had changed the way I watch Cricket at the comfort of my zone, anywhere and anytime.

  4. My love was cricket was born in the year 1996 when the world cup was on and everybody except me was glued to the TV. For every 4 or 6 that the team made my Dad would scream happily at the top of his voice making my studies difficult. Slowly, I got out of the room and watched the matches along with them and decided to study only once the match was over. Even now, it's only the semi-finals and finals that we get to watch after a good amount of argument and fist-fighting for the remote with the girls. :-D

    1. Don't forget to add me in the 1996 list...the age itself was a reason to enjoy and scream :) And about fist-fighting for the remote, it happens but I cleverly give them my laptop streaming Disney movies :D
